INTRODUCTION

Established in 2012, NASARU works with communities to create an impact as an Indigenous Grassroots Women Led Organization working on livelihood issues in primary Kajiado West constituency of Kajiado County.
Our programs focus on stimulating rural community rights among the pastoralist communities through strengthening their capacity to influence policies and decision-making processes.
Our approach embodies the maximum possible contribution from each of the three pillars of environmental, economic and social sustainability.

WHAT WE DO

Our programs are grounded on
strong research
Our evidence on diverse and timely
gender issues.
strategic focus is championing for resilient rural
women’s and Girls’ livelihoods for poverty alleviation and
economic empowerment.

Women need safe spaces to participate and benefit from opportunities: While economic empowerment does not guarantee gender equality, it does provide an important mechanism for women to negotiate improvements in their wellbeing.
