The meeting was also aimed at establishing the expectations of all PARAAN members towards the alliance. The Alliance being a vehicle needs teamwork to be able to amplify the voice and action of indigenous peoples and minorities for stewardship of resources for collective wellbeing. Aligning member’s expectations to PARAAN original vision and sharing of information about the progress made including narrative financial report. Re-structuring of program activities. This was reviewed to be done according to the emerging issues raised by members. i.e. Destruction of Community Forests, Non-implementation of the Endorois legal case vs the Kenyan Government, Land taken over by the Kenyan army without public consultation or consent, Mukogodo Forest is shrinking and degrading, Sub-granting of Funds from PARAAN secretariat to some small members organizations. These were some of the issues raised that needed special attendance and maybe re-structuring of the program activities.
