Main Objective
Build the capacity of PARAAN member organizations and partners in climate change and carbon markets, to

make them a resilient and just community against the current climate crisis/its brokers.

Specific Objectives
The training aimed towards enhancing the understanding of the trainees on:

1. Global context of climate change, the science and human involvement

2. Role of carbon markets and carbon nance in GHG mitigation

3. How carbon projects operate, role of project developers, communities, donors, governments

4. Climate change, the Kenyan context, regulations and rules for setting up projects
